Tendering Engineer (Construction Engineering - M&E) The Job: * Analysis of Tender Documentation for Construction activities, identify Specific requirements, possible Deviations, Risks and Opportunities * Scopes Clarification of Erection and Commissioning activities, review of the technical scopes * Participation in preparation of DOW with Partners for Construction activities * Consolidation and Verification of Materials and Transportation Bill of Quantities (BOQs) * Preparation of technical documentation for Enquiry at Tender phase * Consolidation of Technical documents for Erection contracts/partnership agreements during tender phase and support to negotiations * Clarifications of Site logistics and infrastructure for Erection and Commissioning works (storage, access, networks, temporary equipment) * Collect experience feedback (as built), update a reliable data base to be used for tender calculations * Coordination/Support of all Construction Engineering faculties during the Tender phase * Report to the Tender Engineering Manager the status of the assigned tasks * Analyse Client Comments and elaborate comprehensive answers * In case of Supplier and/or Customer meetings, prepare or ensure the preparation of meeting reports Requirements: * Minimum 3 years Experience in Power Generation/ Oil & Gas/ Petrochemical/ Industrial Power Plants or Mills * Knowledge on Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, HRSGs and associated M&E/I&C Equipment and Processes * Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering

Site Contract Manager in Singapore

Site Contract Manager The Job: o Ensuring the successful execution of site construction contracts according to agreed commercial obligations, financial and qualitative targets. Mutual responsibility with Construction Management to ensure successful achievement of financial and qualitative targets related to site construction contracts. o Assure that site portions of all contracts are followed & fulfilled to the benefit of ALSTOM. o Mutual responsibility with Construction Management to optimize the financial result of ALSTOM for site construction contracts. o Proactive risk/claim assessment and management for site construction contracts. o Manage site contracts according to the agreed processes laid out in the current Plant Business management tool. o Make suggestions to the improvement of processes and tools. o Review contractor Payments for compliance with commercial terms and conditions of their contract upon Construction Management verification that all contractors Payments (progress/milestone) are properly certified & documented. o Provide support and direction to ALSTOM site staff on all contractual and commercial matters. o Ensuring that contractors and/or consortium partners comply with their contractual obligations. o Ensure correct contractual and commercial implementation of contractors reporting, collection of records as well as adequate administration of claims for any EVENT. o Advise PCM of all claim events that should flow up to other parties involved in the Project for possible Variation Orders for additional costs and or schedule impacts. Other parties would include, the Owner, consortium partners, suppliers, other contractors on site, etc. Support PCM in notification to the Owner for events giving rise to extra cost and or schedule impact and to insurers in the event of insurance claims. o Mutual responsibility with Construction Management to provide proactively recommendations & advice on how to avoid any additional cost and where not possible how to minimize the costs of legitimate claims. o Manage commercial and contractual impacts resulting from time, quality, or process related problems on the construction site. o Support detailed scheduling, planning, coordination of work and continuous supervision; early recognition of possible critical deadlines; arrangement or demand for and implementation of corrective actions; forwarding of information to the Site Manager (SIM), the Project Management and delegating line office. o Execute the On-Site Commercial Business Management & the recovery of Claim Event Form Construction (CEFC) from construction contractors. Where applicable, initiate and support the Cost Recovery from other parties. o Ensure all contractors commercial correspondence is timely and duly replied. o Ensure commercial and contractual feedback to the respective site and project organizations (including Procurement & Logistic) as well as to the delegating line organization. o Perform regularly Self-Assessments as per Commercial Site Process Review Checklist and cooperate with any other commercial auditing activities performed on Site. o Execute and/or support Close out of site contracts including the production of a SCM close out report when requested. o Whenever possible, SCM shall support the preparation of commercial documents and shall participate during final negotiation of Civil- and M&E Erection contracts. o Complete and administrate site insurance claims. o Ensuring site purchasing (SPO) terms and conditions of all purchase orders are commercially sound and compliant with contract conditions and local laws and regulations. Requirements: o Preferably, to Degree level in an appropriate commercial or technical subject (e.g. Contract Management, Quantity Surveying, Building, Engineering) o Additional Project Management and/or Commercial education & professional registration would be beneficial. o International Working Experience or at least Management of International Contracts. o Proven experience in the power generation industry. o Commercial and Legal Knowledge. o Excellent Computer Skills in using MS-Windows & Office Applications (Excel, Word, Power Point). o Preferably, Experience in the Power Generation Industry. o Fluent in English (oral & written). o Knowledge of any other Language would be beneficial. o Preferably, Skills in using Lotus Notes Applications & Internet Software. o Planning, Organization, Negotiation and Presentation Skills. o Creative and innovative, open to criticism, able to handle conflicts o Achievement, Goal Orientated, Cultural Awareness and Team Player Nature. o Trustworthy, Reliable, and Dependable.
