USA Today reported recently that ski season in the US has already become discount season.Given the economic meltdown of the past year, many skiers are more likely to be lured by cash savings than flashy amenities. The industry is obliging, offering early-season discounts with longer shelf lives.Not only are the discounts coming earlier than usual, they"re coming with fewer restrictions than usual. Up until the early 1980's, flying was a big deal. It cost a huge amount of money, and only the truly wealthy or the really desperate could afford to fly. But, when Southwest was introduced in the 1980's as America's first no-frills, low cost airline, things changed, slowly but irreversibly. These days, there are low cost flights every where. Cheap international and domestic carriers are beginning to take over the market as more and more people decide that these provide the cost efficient way to see the world. .......

Looking at the growing needs of traveling passengers, the introduction of the shuttle bus especially at busy airports is a blessing. The purpose is specific- to transfer air passengers from one domestic airport to another in minimal time. The shuttle bus is also useful for group of passengers who have luggage and need to be ferried to the hotel in the city. Thus the main purpose of these buses is strictly from one point to another. It has no stops in between like transport buses. Their function is mostly like taxis. Taxis are used by individuals. But for groups like executives, students, tourists the shuttle buses are far more convenient. There are no tickets, no conductors (guides yes) and group fares within city limits. These services are free at airports and other large areas like industrial units where people walking on tarmac can be dangerous and accident prone. .......
